[pro-player type=”MP4″]https://bobsommers.com/videos/auto/6.flv[/pro-player]

Were you surprised at the role safety plays with respect to likeability? What made people feel safe and unsafe? Did you notice that safety can be both emotional and physical?  Please tell the community what you learned from the last lesson in the comment section below.

Today’s Lesson

We like people who “get” us.

Your challenge over the next 48 hours is to discover that makes people tic without judging them and report back on what you learned.

    Incredible video. Safety is huge.
And a factor that is so overlooked. Especially by me.

I learned an incredible lesson in this all-important aspect of likeability and trust, just before I viewed the video. I just wasn’t getting it. Then I viewed the video and understood exactly what was happening. There was no trust whatsoever between my audience and me.

And my audiences were not signing onto my program at all. Understandably, because there was no way they could possibly live up to the standards I set for them. Even I can’t live up to my standards!

A more normal, regular person then presented before the same audience, giving a testimony, and the sign-ups happened. Bingo, it’s all about trust, feeling safe, identifying with someone who is more or less like ourselves.

Absolutely a fantastic video, lesson and learning experience.
    Thank you very much.

I like you Bob! I like you Jerome!

I am a very enthusiastic young woman. It’s just who I am. I realized that this can be offensive to some people, especially “first thing” in the morning. So I have toned it down some. Let’s see what happens.

You know what, Bob? Millions of dollars are not worth what you teach on this site! Actually, a simple change of attitude can make such a huge difference! It’s what happens to me now because every day, I am trying to make of my environment a safer place! I don’t see you on facebook, Bob! I work with young peope! They all should know about your job! Thanks!

Thanks Reginald: I appreciate the comment and your involvement with the 30 Day Likeability Challenge. Keep up the good work with young people. I agree with you Reginald, there is nothing more important than a simple change in attitude to change your circumstances in life.
    Aloha, Bob
